Best dive bar in NYC, pretty cheap, good selection, no bull. Lots of characters, doesn't smell bad, a great place to meet a stranger and strike up a conversation. An oasis of real in a neighborhood full on pretentious spots.
Why you should visit it
Tiny little bar, a great old-school New York slice of life joint. Great atmosphere, super cheap, excellent bartenders. Takes credit, but bring cash. Always a good crowd of assorted and unusual people. Also, a really great neon sign.

Dont ask: but if you buy 3 drinks you often get one for free.
