Macondo serves up "comida de la calle" (Latin street food) elevated to gourmet quality. It's a hip spot that draws inspiration from all the Spanish-speaking countries' cuisines, with a menu that boasts tacos, arepas, croquetas, and more. Highlights are the ceviches and empanadas.
Everything here is delicious! The costillas (baby-back ribs) slide right off the bone, you can order empanadas by the bucket, and the blackberry mint mimosa is simply divine. If you plan to party in the Lower East Side, Macondo is a great spot to hit up for a late night snack.
Macondo takes reservations, which we highly suggest making for dinner and brunch on the weekends.
