Why locals love it

Fluorescent colors and dancehall music give Miss Lily's a lively atmosphere, while delivering delicious food and friendly service. East Villagers flock here on the weekends for the brunch cocktail prix fixe: add $15 to any entree order and get one hour of unlimited specialty cocktails.

Why you should visit it

The moist and tender jerk chicken alone is worth a trip, while other must-have dishes include the jerk grilled corn, macaroni pie, Jamaican ramen, and oxtail. Thirsty? Order the frozen dark and stormy to top off your Caribbean food experience, New York style.

Special tip

Can't live without Miss Lilly's homemade jerk sauces? Check their site for in-store availability and online ordering.

Don’t expect to be able to hear your dinner partners well. Music is bumpin but there’s no place like this in the city. Maybe like Buddakan but Lily’s is way less pretentious. More casual and ratchet (in the best way!). I was also astonished by the food quality. Food it A+++
