Why locals love it

Panna II is part of 3 neighboring indian restaurants. They all have good indian food at very reasonable prices. Expect to pay about $20-$25 for 3 courses, though you could easily spend less. What is most special about Panna II is the decor. The place is covered with low hanging bright lights. It is BYOB, so great for big groups and parties!

Why you should visit it

Go for your birthday and you will get a treat, they dim the lights, sing, and bring out Mango Ice cream with a candle in it! There is no corkage fee here, Bring all the bottles you like. Space is tight though, and the service here isn't always the best, so don't expect to be sitting around drinking for too long after you have finished your meal

Special tip

My favorites here are the Malai, Korma, and Tikka Masala, with whatever meat you fancy. Conveniently located in the East Village
