For my friend's birthday gift, a few of us treated her to the BAB Tour at the Met. It was SO fun and our guide, Sara, was amazing. It was the perfect size group, the right pace (walking around enough without getting fatigued), the appropriate mix of witty commentary with facts and a light fun attitude. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon and I have been raving to friends all over to do the tour. So much fun - I HIGHLY recommend (esp with Sara because she was hilarious, genuine, caring and witty - she herself was a BAB!).

Remember when feminism happened, and Georgia O’Keeffe kicked butt, and now museums and the art world totally treat male and female artists with equal value? JK JK IT’S STILL SUPER BAD! On this two-hour tour of the Met, we get three things done:

1. We celebrate the awesome women who ARE represented
2. We fill you in on some women you haven’t heard about
3. We kick some ass - we hack the patriarchy and actually (briefly) raise the percentage of art on view by female artists!

The future is female, and guess what: the past was hella female too. Get ready to join the revolution (or keep revolution-ing, whatever, we support your journey wherever you are).

BAB Tour SO fun!

Elizabeth, our Bad Ass B$&@$& tour guide was a great story teller, an energetic and knowledgeable tour guide and just lots of fun! This tour was a great way to see The Met, stay out of the “willie” zone and enjoy some of the pieces of art and hear great stories about them. I would take a Museum Hack tour again. It is a different way to experience a museum!
I learned more during this tour than I have in years on my own!

I attended Museum Hack’s Badass B$!&ches of the Met tour, and it was AMAZING. I've visited The Met at least a dozen times and I saw parts of it on this tour I had never seen before and I definitely learned more about the art, particularly some "hidden gems" and really interesting stories about female artists. Our tour guide was the fabulous Anna--I swear I'd follow her through every museum in this city.
