Description
Your tour begins in front of the Majestic Theatre, home of the Phantom of the Opera. Your guide will share stories of this mega-musical and other famous shows that premiered there.
You’ll then walk down the street to the St. James and Broadhurst Theatres, followed by a stop at Sardi’s – a legendary theatre district watering hole.
Afterwards, you’ll head to Shubert Alley where you’ll get to know the Shubert Theatre and its history. Turning onto 45th Street, a theatre mecca, you’ll see the Marriott Marquis Hotel and visit the Marquis Theatre.
Next, you’ll visit the Richard Rogers Theatre, currently the home of Hamilton, and Duffy Square, literally the heart of Times Square. Your guide will explain how this area became “the Crossroads of the World”.
After seeing the Palace Theatre, you’ll head north to visit the Edison Hotel and the Barrymore Theatre. The tour ends in front of the Circle in the Square and Gershwin Theatre, home of the smash hit musical Wicked.
