Why locals love it
The Arènes de Cimiez is a stunning park just on the outskirts of the city. The huge green space is always bustling with activity. Locals often come here with their children or to take a nap during their lunch breaks. Its also where most of the local Niçoise festivals are held.
Why you should visit it
Not only is the park a fantastic place to just relax and have a picnic, its also situated around ancient Roman ruins. Access to the the ruins of the Colosseum is free and you get a great view of the large archaeological site. If you want to visit the archaeological museum, then tickets are just €10! (Free for students)
