Why locals love it

Two-thirds fish market, one-third restaurant, Fiskeriet offers some of the freshest fish in Oslo. Come to buy ingredients for your dinner, or just pop in for a glass of wine and some fish & chips served on traditional newsprint.

Why you should visit it

Located just off of Youngstorget, Fiskeriet offers a small menu of fresh fish dishes including fish & chips, traditional fiskesuppe, baccalo and fresh oysters to name a few, but the small chalkboard menu is always changing. Sit at the circular bar, or find a place on the patio overlooking Youngstorget in the summer.

Special tip

Save 60kr! Take your fish & chips to go and enjoy them by the fountain across the street. Take-out/dine-in (95kr/155kr)

A very good place to buy fresh seafood for home cooking. They also serve a really tasty fish soup!

Get fish soup or fish&chips to go (much cheaper than eating in) and enjoy it in the sun at Youngstorget
