Jo Nesbø is perhaps Norway's most famous crime writer. His books have been translated into over 40 languages. His protagonist, officer Harry Hole, calls this police station home. That is when he's not traveling to far flung corners of the world to help solve mysterious crimes. Most locals just pass by on the way to Botsparken.
The majority of Jo Nesbøs books are centered in Oslo and his characters visit real places. If you are a fan, it's worth walking by the station to get an idea of where the infamous Harry Hole works. Although you can't wander around because of security reasons, Botsparken, the park surrounding the station is a great place to grill and sit in the sun.
