You have something called «Mathallen» witch direcly in english means foodhall / foodcourt.

Its located central in Oslo city centre. Free entry and lots of nice places to eat.

There are two food halls worth a visit in Oslo. The first one is called «Mathallen». It has gourmet food shops and restaurants inside and in the area around. Beautifully located by the Akers river.

The other one is «Vippa mathall», located in an old warehouse by the docks. There you can enjoy good food from all over the world.

Vippa and Mathallen are great places. I spring/summer my favourite is Vippa. Great food to reasonable prices and is located right next to the ferry that takes you to Oslos many small islands.
