Bars that let in 18 year olds..

My sister and I are visiting Oslo for the first time. She's 22 and I am 18, and knowing the legal drinking age we were not expecting for so many bars to turn us down. What are bars or clubs that let in 18-year-olds?

London pub, its a gay friendly place in our gay quarter by Stortinget, lets in 18-year-olds. If your early enough most places would let you in. :)

You can drink beer when youre 18. Its 20 for spirits. On daytime You can drink almost everywhere, but there are not that many bars and clubs for those under 23 in Oslo. I think Lavvo at Karl Johan street let in people that are 18:)

Quite a few bars will let you in but not that many clubs. I would check the age limit online for places you would like to go.

I'm sorry you were turned down by so many bars! There are a few bars that will let you in, but I don't know how good they are.

Grünerløkka is a really nice part of Oslo, both night and day, with lots of nice cafes/coffeeshops, Oslos best american diner and the best vintage shops. Here you can find Tørst (bar/cafe) and the irish Shamrock Pub.

Bogstadveien is Oslos shopping street number one, also with nice cafes, but without the cozyness of Grünerløkka. This is also quite close to the Vigelandsparken, which is worth a visit. Here you will find the English pub, Highbury Pub. Watch out for important football games, though. If you're not into football, you probably want to stay away from this pub those days...

There is also a couple of bars in the center. Per på Hjørnet, is a bar with live music Tuesday and Sunday. Tullio Café might have changed, but used to be quite bad.

Ask people who work in bars/cafes, and every one looking 18, and I'm sure you will figure it out, or be invited to a private party...

Good luck and have fun!

Legal drinking age is 18 for beer/wine, but 20 for stronger alcohol. Places that serve cocktails will usually not let in 18-years-olds. The best will be to go to a normal restaurant I guess.
