Hi, sorry but I can't help you with that. I just moved here a year ago. But if you wanna see the Nordic light usually from December to March. Try to go to North because from Oslo you can't really see it. But just google it so much info in the net.

If you want to see the northern light (aurora borealis) you need to come during winter/dark season. And you would have to go to the north. We very rarely see northern light here in the south.

I don't have expertise but I know you should go to Trondheim or further north (not Oslo or Bergen) also it should be cold

Hey there! If you wish to see the Northern Lights it is usually good to come around January and February. Try and go as North as you can. Tromso is a good place to go see the Northern Lights. Usually, people camp there. You need guidance for a place to stay in Oslo or Tromso?

Hey Palak, Thank you for quick response. So Tromso is a better place to experience Northern lights? So leaving that what other places you suggest would be good to travel in Norway? Yes i would need guidance to stay .
When and where to go depends on what you're interested to see and do. June is my favorite time of the year. If you go north of the polar circle, the sun doesn't set. Western and northern parts of Norway have more rain and snow than eastern parts. The fjords are in the western parts and they are a magnificent view. Various music festivals through June, July and August.
Nortern lights most frequently and best seen October-February. Tromsø is the best town for that.
