Why locals love it
Two words – cheap beer! Ryes is one of the few places in Oslo that has a happy hour (which lasts all afternoon)! Before 8pm you can get three 0,4l beers for 100kr. Don't be surprised to see a table of four with twelve full beer glasses on it. It is a mixed crowd during the day and it's not uncommon to see an older couple enjoying a beer and burger.

Why you should visit it
Did I mention the cheap beer? They also have burgers and milkshakes. This cool place in hip Grünerlökka has a diner decor with a rockabilly feel. There are DJs on Saturdays. If you come after 11pm, you may have to wait in line, but you won't wait long. The age limit is 23+ They serve an American style brunch on weekends.
