I took the tour with LINA on 25th Nov and I simply loved it. She was knowledgeable, professional and very friendly. She introduced us to Oslo like a local showing us the common and the hidden. Tasting brown cheese was very interesting and I walked away with great pictures and amazing stories about Oslo. Highly recommended. kuddos to Lina.

Description

A long time ago, in a city far, far away (okay, maybe just a short walk away)… there was a town, proudly established by the mighty Vikings, called Oslo. People were blond, they ate nothing but salmon and sang from the fjord tops… okay, maybe there were other things too. Fast-forward to the 1600s. A fire breaks out, sweeping through most of the city. Fast-forward again, this time to the 2000s. What was once the city-centre of Oslo is now Gamle Oslo, or “Old Oslo.” The city has been moved, and you find yourself standing outside the Nobel Peace Center, watching the boats come in and out of the harbour.

On our Oslo City Walk, we’ll hop from one place to the next, and while you get your bearings, we’ll give meaning to the places we grace with our presence. We’ll galavant along the main pedestrian street, Karl Johans Gate, just like Norwegians do on May 17th (Constitution Day); we’ll give a salute to the great Norwegian playwrights at the National Theatre; and admire the strength and might of the fortifications at Akershus Fortress (and also the fantastic view!). What else comes to mind when you think of Oslo? We’ll probably cover that too.

Short, sweet, and done in 2 hours.

A great way to see Oslo
My friend and I were only in Oslo for a day and wanted to see as much as possible in a short amount of time. Our guide Daiana was great, her knowledge on the city was immense and she conveyed it in an interesting way that was easy to follow. We covered most of the main sights and each was explained concisely. The tour flowed well and we began to get our bearings. We also tried some of the local foods and were given recommendations of where else to visit and what else was on in the city. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Oslo.

Perfect tour to see the best of Oslo
I really enjoyed this tour, I was lucky to be the only person on the tour so I had the privilege of being able to ask many questions to my guide who was very smart and knowledgeable. The tours covers the main attractions in 3 hours including the beautiful Vigeland park.
Totally recommend it.

Fabulous Tours of Oslo--so good we took two!
We signed up for the hipster tour of Oslo. Diana was our tour guide and she was fantastic. This tour takes you to Grünerløkka. There is some great street art, but what really made the tour was Diana's knowledge of the area and its history. It was interesting to see a less touristy side of Oslo. We enjoyed our morning tour so much that we signed up to take her afternoon city tour. Again, her knowledge of the city's history made it really interesting. After these tours, we felt like we had a good understanding of the city's development and layout. Our first tour was just me and the two friends with whom I traveled; the second included four others. So, a nice size and easy to hear and ask questions.
