From the wild islands of Lofoten to the heart of Oslo’s downtown, Norwegians sure know how to enjoy a good beer - and with good reason! More than a refreshing drink, beer is for them a national beverage that one needs to treat (and taste!) with respect…
Our Oslo Craft Beers & Bites tasting adventure takes place in and around Grünerløkka, the art-loving and colourful district where - what a coincidence! - Oslo’s very first brewery was founded, back at the beginning of the 1800s. Along with our guide (who doubles as a beer enthusiast), we will embark on a journey that will take us to two different microbreweries. Whilst enjoying and discussing some of the best “øl” offered by Norway’s capital city, we’ll learn exciting facts about the art of brewing in the country. Our tour will teach us how beer production flourished during the Middle Ages, becoming - already back then! - the favourite drink of the Norwegians. Learn how the beer heritage got affected by the appearance of liquors and how the religious authorities tried, often in vain, to limit the consumption of the inhabitants.
Join us on a joyful and tasty promenade through some of the prettiest streets of Oslo.
