On rainy days the children's museum is a great place to take children of all ages for lots of hands on activities.

Located beside Remic Rapids alongside the Ottawa River Parkway an amazing sight is reborn every spring beside the Ottawa river. Every year John Felice Ceprano make unique balanced rock art with stones from the area. Each piece is unique and is made with only the stones themselves.

Watson's Mill

Watson's Mill in the (former) Village of Mannotick still grinds wheat the way it was done in the 1860's. It is away from the crowded tourist haunts but is a nice outting for adults and children. Guided tours during the summer explain not only the process but the areas history.

Memorial Hall in The Canadian War Museum

This quite sanitary has the feel of a shrine. It contains only one object the headstone from Plot 8, Row E, Grave 7 at Cabaret-Rouge British Cemetery, France. The hall has only one window which is aligned so that, at 1100 on November 11th the headstone is illuminated by a beam of natural light (clouds permitting).

These have included RibFest, PoutineFest, and the Jazz Festival It has a free outdoor skating rink in the winter. Inside it is great place to warm up, (and use the restrooms) during Winterlude.
