(6 answers)We only have one night on Ottawa (Sunday).
Any recommendations on dinner places? Not Fine Dining and no sushi ;)
Is there something one must absolutely see?
We are visiting the Air and Space museum the next day.
Thanks for your hints already in advance.

Hi - so sorry to miss your message, I was away fishing. A great relaxed restaurant is UNION LOCAL 613 at 315 Somerset St West, Ottawa, tel. 613-231-1010. I have eaten there twice and loved it both times.
Hi Tina!
You must see the downtown area called the market. It spans about 5 blocks and u can see the parliament buildings and nice views of the Ottawa river, locks, canal etc.
There is an outdoor terrace to have wine called Tavern on the hill, start there. Andaz hotel has a rooftop terrace also.

While you are visiting the Aviation Museum the RCMP Museum and Musical Ride Stables are very close. 1 Sandridge Road,
If you are downtown, wander through the Market area. There are lots of restaurants. I like Dunns Deli for a smoked meat dinner. It is simple but good. 355 Dalhousie. The place to see in Ottawa for tourists is Parliment hill. Even if you can not take a tour a walk around the grounds reveals many good photo opportunities. On the was see the locks on the Rideau River. From the Market walk to Rideau Street and turn right, after the Chateau Laurier that the stairs on the right down to the canal. Walk down the canal to the end, crossover on one of the closed locks, walk back uphill along the canal, take the steps back up to Rideau St, turn right and you are at Parliament hill.
One of my favs is The Millstreet Pub. They are a brew pub and their beer is amazing. They have a really nice patio as it is along the Ottawa River. Their webpage: http://millstreetbrewery.com/ottawa-brew-pub
