Lunch on the way...
(4 answers)We are driving from Prince Edward County to Ottawa. We have couple of extra jours to spend on the way. Any tips for a nice scenic driving route? And most importantly, THE best place to have lunch on the way.
Thanks in advance!

I would take highway 7 rather than the 401, or even better regional road 10 through Westport to Perth. If you stop in Perth there is a nice pub in the middle of town on the river, can’t remember the name but it’s a small place just off the main street, good coffee and light lunch, or if you want to risk it, a local beer.
Hi Tiina, I'm much more familar with the city of Ottawa in general, but if you are passing through Carp, Alice's Village Cafe is lovely!!
I will second what Glenn said. The 401 to 416 will be the fastest way back to Ottawa but taking an alternate road and hitting small towns along the way may be quaint.

It is very easy to drive in Ottawa. If you have even just 2 hours. Take the time to drive into the Byers market. There are a few good places to eat. Mexican:Carazon de Maiz, Parisienne sandwiches quiches and deserts: le moulin de Provence, sushi, bagels, Lebanese,.... of Dunn’s for smoked meat. From there you can walk for quick peak at the canal, parlement hill.
