Why you should visit it
The Rideau canal is a great place to visit for families, or anyone. If you walk down the canal, you will eventually get to the parliament building, which is another attraction. The canal there goes downhill and goes out into the Ottawa river. You could watch the sunset from there, which is absolutely magical. It’s also a skating rink in the winter.
