This a monument for the Battle of 5 Days & 5 Nights on January 1947, as well as museum depicting specific part pf Palembang City's rich historical timeline relating to the independence era, particularly events leading to & occurring after the declaration of the country's independence on August 17th 1945.

Why you should visit it

The roofless 7th level provides breathtaking panoramic view of downtown Palembang (the fountain of the Grand Mosque being the 0 KM of the city). For best convenience (minimum visual obstructions for your pictures:-) should not be visited on weekends & holidays (but note that the establishment is closed on Monday).

Special tip

The semi-circular stairs to reach the top floor will be a moderate physical challenge, but will worth the sweat once you get there:-)
