At this restaurant, a family ambiance prevails. In fact, it is a family business and it’s going well. It’s basically a canteen where people come to have a chat and eat tasty Tunisian specialities. It’s located right in the heart of the Belleville neighbourhood and is the perfect place to experience the simple and convivial atmosphere of the area.

Why you should visit it
Appetisers called "kémia" are typically served at the start of Tunisian meals. Here they include things like olives, a variety of salads (aubergine, bell pepper, potato and tuna…), bread and other specialties. If I could, I would eat only these! They’re best enjoyed with "anisette" (anise flavoured liqueur) or ice-cold "boukha" (fig brandy).
Special tip
After the "kémia" I suggest you order a dish called "complet de poisson" – grilled fresh fish with delicious fries, a fried egg and bell pepper salad.
