Why locals love it
I love Asian flavours, and Baan Boran gave me the chance to discover a new Asian cuisine – Thai! The dishes are authentic, delicate, fresh and exotic, and the service is very nice and discreet. The décor is simple and elegant, and the staff are kitted out in traditional Thai attire. The lunch menu is around €15, the tasting menu around €40.
Why you should visit it
Baan Boran offers regional Thai dishes such as homok pla (fish), spring rolls, soups, delicious rice, chicken curry... It's hard to make a choice! I usually order scallops with rice, and sorbet for dessert. The number of chillies next to each dish on the menu indicates how spicy it is – a very convenient touch.
Special tip
You should definitely take a walk through the nearby Palais Royal garden. It’s gorgeous.
