This place is hidden at the bottom of about one hundred stairs just off rue Mouffetard. Your journey towards the underground alley is accompanied by 50s-style wall murals of Sandra Dee and Danny type characters who once frequented the golden bowling alleys of yore.
Why you should visit it
It's an intimate pinball and pop music kind of place with a whole lot of grim authenticity. The bowling balls are positively lunar, pocked by decades of drops and bumps. The shoes are nice, the scoring simple, and the service a little unfriendly. But – pinball machines! How could you stay unhappy?!
Special tip
Water is only permitted at the bar area, though alcohol is okay elsewhere. Wearing a hat may get you shouted at, so it’s best to avoid that too.
