Why locals love it

With a relaxed and friendly ambiance, Chez Gladines has something to suit all tastes. If you want to have a drink with friends or share a plate of special Basque deli meat and cheese, this is the place to go. Their specialties include potato gratin with Cantal cheese and cured Basque ham, and enormous salads with local Basque ingredients.

Why you should visit it

It’s a quirky place that attracts all types. Their prices are very attractive and what’s more, they serve the best quality Basque food in Paris. A pint of Basque beer will set you back €5, and the biggest salad served in a gigantic bowl is just €10. On Sundays they serve a delicious brunch for €15.

Special tip

A jukebox gives the place a very enjoyable retro feel. There’s a large range of fruit liqueurs available to help you digest the generous courses.

This was my favorite restaurant in Paris. The Cassoulet was amazing and the crowd was fun and friendly.
