Being just a three-minute walk from two parks explains why this corner restaurant is packed on sunny days. You can choose to sit on the terrace, the second floor, at the bar or in a calmer back room. Whether you’re after a late breakfast, afternoon coffee or evening beers, Le Bloc suits everybody. It’s good value considering its location.
When you’re hungry, the burger and fries (recommended!) are honest stomach fillers. Also, the €10 Brunch of the Day is not shabby at all for a city like Paris. It’s a private enough place for two, and fun and loud enough for a group. The nicer the weather, the more crowded it gets. This slows the service, so try to arrive early (whenever that is).
The terrace! As mentioned, it’s liveliest when the sun is out, but it’s even better on hot days when you can sit and cool down with a pint of beer.
