Why locals love it
Owned by sisters Margot & Scarlette (hence, Marlette!), this gem doubles as a shop and café. What began as a company selling bread & cake mix to retailers, Marlette opened its café’s doors on the charming rue des Martyrs in early 2014. Their delectable organic pastries are made in-house, while everything you consume here comes from local suppliers.

Why you should visit it
Among stonewalls and cozy furniture, you’ll find patrons on laptops, chatting over lunch, or enjoying a cup of Lov Organic tea. Weekend brunch is the star: You get a hot drink, fresh fruit juice, a bread basket with butter & jam, a soft-boiled egg, ham, cheese, soup of the day, seasonal salad, compote or fromage blanc, and your choice of dessert.
