For science maniacs
Le Palais de la Découverte6
Why locals love it
The Palace of Discovery is a real discovery itself. It’s the kind of museum that takes you back to your childhood. You can learn a lot about physics, astronomy, chemistry, mathematics, geology and biology, and attend experiments. It’s interactive, playful and very exciting for children. Science lovers will be very happy, as will curious people.

Why you should visit it
The approach is original: I went to a class on the sense of smell and learnt how to identify the compounds that create the perception of odour with a mass spectrometer! Many people do the static electricity experiment and end up with their hair standing straight up in the air. The workshops are interesting and the guides are passionate.
Special tip
Entrance is €8, €6 for those under 25 and free for children under six. An additional €3 fee applies to some workshops.
