A student favourite, Le Piano Vache is wonderfully dark, battered and full of character. The walls are covered with posters of concerts long gone by, and the ambiance is very, very convivial. The crowd tends to be a great mix of students, young professionals and a few tourists and it's always a great place to have a good time.
Why you should visit it
There is a free jazz manouche session on Monday nights, which is always excellent and if you're looking to impress a girl, there is no better place to bring someone. It's dark, cosy and utterly romantic. Note that drinks are more expensive on Monday nights.
Special tip
You will get shushed for talking during the music. Also, please don't be That Person with the camera flash!
