At just two years old, Mandoobar is already a hit among the locals. Situated on a small street in the 8ème, once inside, this unassuming restaurant continues to favour minimalism with its interior and menu. Take a seat at the bar (which doubles as the kitchen & only seats about a dozen people) and watch the head chef at work right in front of you.

There are only eight items on the menu: Dumplings (beef, vegetable, kimchi), steak and tuna tartare, salad, soup, and rice. I ordered almost everything on the menu when I visited and regretted nothing! They also have a great selection of Asian beer, sake, and tea.
