Edith Piaf's former
Musée Édith Piaf2
Why locals love it
This private museum located in the 11th district was created by Bernard Marchois, lifelong fan and author of two Piaf biographies. It’s a place with real soul – not only is it brimming with vinyl records, fan letters and a wealth of other memorabilia, it was Piaf’s home at the beginning of her career.
Why you should visit it
Even if you’re not an Edith Piaf fan, it’s still an original place worthy of a visit. It’s full of memories: photographs, objects that belonged to the artist, shoes, and clothing including her trademark black dress. For true Piaf lovers, there’s even a shop where you can buy books and other keepsakes.
It's free of charge! Open from Monday to Wednesday by appointment only.
