A passage back to childhood

Passage des Princes

Why locals love it

This passage was opened to the public in 1960 thanks to the initiative of Baron Haussmann. It’s worth seeing due to its period architecture – it has a coloured glass cupola, a glass roof and a façade that’s listed as an historical monument. You’ll find the other entrance at 97 rue de Richelieu.

Why you should visit it

Here’s your ticket back to childhood. As there are only stores for children (or Peter Pan types), you’ll without a doubt have some flashbacks to your younger years. Even though nowadays some toys are very different to those of your memories, there’s still a lovely store selling dolls and teddies.

Special tip

You don't have to buy anything – you can just walk around and enjoy the architecture. It will be much more difficult for children to resist!
