If you want something cheap (well as cheap as it can get in this area...), you can try L'Estel (rue Clément Marot). It's very french, in a quiet street.
I like Bellota Bellota on the same street. They have amazing spanish hams to die for.

There are plenty of very nice restaurants on rue Marbeuf :
- Maitre Pierre is a good italien restaurant where even french VIPs go.
- La Fermette is a french restaurant in a posh and classic way. It's pricier.
- Santoor is an awesome indian restaurant. More like high-end restaurant than the regular small indian venue.
- People usually recommend Le relais de l'entrecote and la maison de la truffe. They're ok. I prefer La Maison de l'Aubrac. It's named after a region in France known for the quality of its beef.
- Matsuri for sushis (with the moving sushi plates thingy).

- If you want to enjoy a terrasse with sunshine, you can go to La Belle Ferronnière. It's a french bistrot but like a bit "chic" and rather pricy for a bistrot. The food is ok but not spectacular.

There are plenty of other good spots. I know this southern part of the Champs Elysées best, though that's why i'm recommending these.

You should know that most restaurants on the Champs Elysées are pricy and not good. If you really want to eat on the avenue, then try the classics like the Fouquet's (for the historic feel of the place) or Pizza PIno (They make pizza until 5am !) or the restaurant of the Publicis Drugstore.
