Hi all,

I have booked a hotel in Rue Jarry to spend some days in Paris with my boyfriend.

The problem is that some friends have told us that this area is unsafe.

Could you please tell is about this area and share your experience?

Thank you in advance :)

Hi Alazne,

Although the area is not the best, don't be afraid. It is near the nord & east train stations, which makes the area busy, a bit sketchy and dirty... So you won't feel like walking around your apartment window shopping and having a coffee in a romantic venue in the near area... But if you go in and out your apartment to take the metro, a bus or just walk to a place of interest, it will be ok. Just don't be afraid and always try to look like you know where you're going and don't carry to many valuables on you.

Good luck and enjoy your visit!

Thank you Pamela!

Regarding the area... Should we be in the apartment before noon?

We would like to take some walks and/or eat outside some of the days and I don't know if it will be better to arrive before a determined hour.

Thank you again!
Don't worry, even if you want to go out late (and you want to avoid to taje the metro and the wlak from the metro to your location), just take a uber or a will be fine :)
