Spacious sports bar

The Frog & British Library

Why locals love it

The Frog & British Library is actually a sports bar, pub and restaurant located in the little-known 13th district. I discovered it on a quiet Sunday afternoon when I was craving a pastry after watching a film at a nearby movie theatre. I'm a big fan of cheesecake so I ordered the New York cheesecake – it was delightful!

Why you should visit it

Although I first stopped by for pastry, the main reason to come here is to enjoy micro-brewed beers. Sports matches are broadcasted on a big screen so it’s a good place to catch a game while munching on a burger and fries. Beers are priced at around €7, though on weekdays they’re €5 during happy hour (5 pm to 8 pm).

Special tip

It's a great place for groups as it's really big.
