First you’ll be introduced to the history of the Musée d'Orsay; you’ll learn about the Italian architect Gae Aulenti and how he turned an abandoned train station into a museum.
You’ll walk where the trains once ran and admire art from the mid-19th century to 1914. The tour covers realism, impressionism, post-impressionism and art nouveau. Your guide will share stories of artists including Delacroix, Ingres, Courbet, Daumier, Millet, Manet, Monet, Degas, Renoir, Rodin, Cézanne, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Toulouse-Lautrec and many others.
