Tuileries Gardens

Why locals love it

Once the royal gardens of the Tuileries Palace, today Tuileries is an expansive stretch of lush grass with promenades, impressive water features and statues. With benches placed helpfully around, you can find many places to relax beside the beautiful ponds, as well as enchanting carousels to entertain children and adults alike.

Why you should visit it

Tuileries is perfectly placed between the Louvre and the Place de la Concorde, and there are a few cafés dotted around the gardens if you'd like to buy an ice cream or a sandwich. As a diversion from the hustle and bustle of rue de Rivoli, these gardens are good for the soul.

Special tip

Bring some bread for the pigeons and ducks, and get some great photos in a magical Paris setting.
