I found this small restaurant by chance, and I was not disappointed. Located down a discreet street in the residential 17th district, Villa Punjab is a top spot for those who like Indian food. The menu is wide and includes chicken, fish, shrimp and lamb. Try the biryani – it’s a rice specialty from North India flavoured with 20 different spices.

Why you should visit it

The saffron rice and chicken are very tasty (around €20), and the cheese naan is excellent (€3.50). It’s a quiet place with nice service. Stop by for a meal after taking a relaxing walk in the nearby Monceau Park.
