Artist Stephen Powers' 50-painting series of Murals in West Philadelphia spell out a 'Love Letter' from Philly residents to its city through the tale of boy and a girl falling in love. In 2010, in conjunction with the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, the project was completed and is best viewed from the Market-Frankford Subway Line.

The love story weaved throughout the series is one that is both uniquely Philadelphia and wonderfully global. Urban explorers will love the contrast between the stunning artwork & some of the more forgotten neighborhoods in the city. A source of Philadelphia pride, the project also speaks to the strength and beauty of the individual neighborhoods.
Board the subway at 30th St. Station going westbound. Once you pull into the 69th St. Terminal, stay on the line to view the eastbound murals.
