Why locals love it

The Philadelphia Magic Gardens, at 3000 sq. feet, is the largest work of mosaic artist Isaiah Zagar. Visitors can get lost in the labyrinth of stairwells, corridors, and secret passageways that fill the garden.

Why you should visit it

Zagar's mosaic art can be seen covering vast swaths of South Philadelphia walls and buildings, but nowhere is his work and style more prominent than the Magic Gardens. The MG also hosts exhibitions from international artists in their indoor gallery.

Special tip

The Magic Gardens are available to rent for private events, or for a nominal fee, you can do like this reviewer & shoot your wedding photos there!

This is one of the places in Philly I recommend the highest! I think it's also important to mention that it sells out quite often (especially during summer and weekends). It took me like 3 tries before I actually got to see it (due to poor planning on my part). Go early in the day to claim a time slot!
