The Book Trader has operated as a Philly institution of sorts for over 40 years. Originally located on the infamous South Street, The Book Trader moved to its current home in Old City, Philadelphia's historic district, in 2004.

The vast selection available is priced so reasonably that you can afford to stock your bookshelves with gorgeous, engaging literature for a steal. There are dozens of tiny nooks, comfy chairs, and unique spaces in the two-story space that make it easy to spend an entire day curling up and getting lost from the outside world.
