This is Philly's most visited museum and a favorite among many locals because, well, it's just as fun as it is informative! It was designed as an interactive museum before interactive museums became a trend. This makes it really great for kids, but honestly, people of every age enjoy visiting the Franklin Institute.
The Franklin Institute features both permanent exhibits like that Fels Planetarium and a replica of the human heart that you can walk through, along with temporary exhibitions that make locals eager to come back for another visit.
During the field trip and summer camp season, this place can be overrun with kids. You'll know if you see a line of yellow school buses out front.
