The Phoenix Zoo is a lovely place to visit for the whole family. Over 1,400 creatures from the animal kingdom, along with 30 endangered species are present at this attraction. They host exciting events as well such as Winter in July and Prowl & Play. Pick up some souvenirs at the Desert Marketplace which is located inside the zoo.
Why you should visit it
Become immersed in a world of animals while viewing bald eagles, African lions, Komodo Dragons, and so much more. Children of all ages can explore nature and learn about animals at Zoo Camp. Or take advantage of their 4D Theater that invigorates your five senses during the show.
Special tip
The Phoenix Zoo has a "green team" which is a group of volunteers dedicated to making the park eco-friendly. They will even recycle old cell phones.
