Piestewa Peak (formerly Squaw Peak) is located in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve and is the second highest point in the Phoenix mountains. This is one of the most popular hikes in the valley because of its close proximity to Phoenix. Despite the crowds, this trail can still be fun if you're looking for a good workout and a quick hike!

This is one of the most well known hikes among Phoenix locals! It's a busy trail, you will have no solitude so make sure to bring your community spirit with you. It starts off moderate and becomes difficult as it gets steeper. When you reach the peak, you'll have a 360 view of Phoenix and the surrounding mountains.
If you're comfortable hiking at night, go for the sunset! If the gate is closed, park in the small parking lot on the side.
