Merikarvia's Elf Stones
Why locals love it
The elf stones were, according to the stories, built by the elves at their places. They are about 170 years old. The ancient monumental value of the stones is increased by the fact that they are unique in the Nordic countries. All of these statues are associated with the notion that they increase fertility, the yield of the field.
Why you should visit it
The meter-high rocks are located along the Trolss village road. There were several similar field guard stones in the village of Trolss and village of Kasala.
