Why locals love it
The Pytty Magazine Museum, in the center presents the wooden tableware industry in Merikarvia. The presentation is open to the public during Merikarvia Week. On an industrial scale, containers was manufactured in the first half of the 20th century and Merikarvia was a well-known Nordic center in this field.
Why you should visit it
The museum presents the entire machine chain of Arvo Esko's fish vessel factory as well as a few salvaged machines from other factories. The container collection is still incomplete. Brochures are supplemented. In addition, old objects and tools are stored in one room of the building. Vijo Kurje's fish dish factory has operated in the building.
