Walk in the footsteps
of Graham Greene
Hotel Oloffson0
Why locals love it
This gingerbread hotel houses a restaurant (USD$12-15 for lunch, $14-25 for dinner) that is also the site of a weekly live concert (on Thursdays) by the band RAM. It is quirky, beautiful, and a uniquely Haitian experience to sit on the veranda and drink a rum punch at this historic hotel.

Why you should visit it
Graham Greene's novel "The Comedians" opens with a scene where a body is found at the bottom of the pool here. That reason alone should motivate you to read the book (or watch the movie) and visit the Olofson.
Special tip
Check out the voodoo artwork throughout and ask owner Richard Morse for the story behind the art on display.
