You can eat indoors during rainy weather at the bar which has some tables for dinner/lunch service or, the preferred option, eat in the front or rear garden. The rear garden, decorated with hanging bags of water (supposedly to ward off mosquitoes), has live music most nights.

This gingerbread hotel houses a restaurant (USD$12-15 for lunch, $14-25 for dinner) that is also the site of a weekly live concert (on Thursdays) by the band RAM. It is quirky, beautiful, and a uniquely Haitian experience to sit on the veranda and drink a rum punch at this historic hotel.

It's not that most of love this place or often come here to gamble, it's that the El Rancho Casino is a uniquely Haitian scene. You can't really understand Haiti's elite if you haven't seen this side of the country.

The music (both live and recorded) is always lovely as is the out-of-doors environment. It had a bit of an artsy vibe, maybe because the lightening fixtures are uniquely made of recycled mason jars, and it is overall a pleasant place to visit.
