This unassuming tavern is now almost an institution in the city. Although the menu has many options, the flagship of the house is undoubtedly the pork shank sandwich (sandes de pernil), preferably accompanied by a beer (um fino!) and savored while sitting in one of the tables on the terrace, facing the Garden of St. Lazarus (Jardim de São Lázaro).
Be sure to ask for the addition of a slice of cheese from Serra da Estrela. It will melt while heated and mix with the meat - it's delicious!
