Located in the less frequented district of Prague-Dejvice, Hotel International is one of the most interesting buildings in Prague. It was built between 1952 and 1954 at the order of the Defence minister Alexej Čepička and is known as one of the symbols of the Stalinist architecture in the Czech Republic.
The hotel is 88 m tall and has sixteen floors. In the lobby you will find a huge tapestry depicting an aerial view of Prague showing Stalinist landmarks which today no longer exist (the largest in the world Stalin Monument at Letna and the Monument to Soviet Tank Crews at Štefánik square).
