Žižkov in Prague
0
Why locals love it
This historic, working class district is rougher around the edges than some other parts of central Prague, but it has it's own kind of charm with 1930's architecture and cheap bars on every street.
Why you should visit it
To see the unusual church at Náměstí Jiřího z Poděbrad (Jiřího z Poděbrad square), and the famous TV tower nearby. Plus the cheap but great independent cafes, restaurants and bars.
Special tip
Check out the view from the cafe in the Žižkov TV tower, and the babies - sculptures by Czech artist David Cerny - climbing on the tower itself.
